Ministers & Sway

Ministers are ranked squire, noble then lord. To Sway one, you need a crown of its rank on your board, then reveal the cards it lists (each needs a Duchy piece in a clearing of that suit). The minister goes above your board, a crown moves onto it and you score the points uncovered. In Parliament you take each swayed minister's action once, for example Banker scores 1 point per card spent from one suit and Mayor copies a swayed noble or squire.
