The purple disease is cured with 5 City cards of any colour, at least 1 of which shows a city holding a purple cube. With Mutation you win by curing all 5 diseases, or by curing the 4 regular ones with no purple cubes left on the board. The Scientist needs 4 cards; the Field Operative 3 plus 3 purple samples.
