You draw 2 Final Scoring cards at setup and may look at them any time, but keep them hidden from other players. The first time any player reaches or passes 10 conservation points, every player chooses and discards one of their Final Scoring cards; if nobody has reached 10 by the end of the game, everyone discards one before final scoring. At the end of the game you still gain conservation points or appeal from your remaining Final Scoring card and from all your cards with an end-of-game icon. You can never gain more than 4 conservation points from a single Final Scoring card.
