The Abbot & Gardens

The Abbot (in the current base box): after placing a tile with a monastery or garden, you may place your abbot on it instead of a meeple — only an abbot can go on a garden. A garden or monastery with an abbot scores like a monastery (9 when surrounded). Normal meeples can't go on a garden. In step 2, instead of placing a meeple, you may recall your abbot; it scores in step 3 as 1 point plus 1 per neighbouring tile.
