Monasteries
ScoringCarcassonne
A meeple on a monastery is a monk. A monastery is complete when all 8 surrounding spaces — including the diagonals — have tiles. It then scores 9 points (1 for itself and 1 per surrounding tile) and the monk returns. An unfinished monastery at game end scores 1 point plus 1 per surrounding tile placed.
With Hills & Sheep: A completed monastery scores 3 more points for each vineyard on the 8 tiles around it.
