Contrarius's Reactions

Prefect: he scores 1 per house in the produced province (min 1; min 2 if you played the Prefect with Praefectus Magnus), or 2 if you took cash. Architect: roll the Architect die and he takes that display card (an empty position means the first). Mercator: he builds a house of the black die's good, then that province produces for you. Senator/Consul: he builds a house of the white die's good ("S" = his best specialist's good). Tribune: he builds for his best specialist, then the red die gives him a colonist or the first display card; Colonist: the same die, or 2 VP if you took money; Specialists: 3 VP; Diplomat: you copy one of his face-up cards (then turn it face down) and he reacts as that card says.
