Hirelings Are Not Your Faction
MarauderRoot
You treat hireling pieces as your own only for rule, and you can rule a clearing with hireling pieces alone. They are not your faction pieces, are enemies to everyone except you and your coalition partner, and you can't use your own abilities, persistent effects or ambush cards with them. You score nothing when a hireling removes enemy pieces.
