Food Tokens & Substitution

The five food types are invertebrate, seed, fish, fruit and rodent. When playing a bird — and only then — you may spend any 2 food tokens together as if they were 1 token of whatever's required.

With Oceania: Oceania adds nectar, a wild food for paying for a bird, an any-food power or upgrading an action, but not when a power names a specific food. Unspent nectar is discarded at the end of each round.
