You start with 1 active association worker on your notepad and 3 lying down. To perform a task, place an active worker on it on the Association board; if 1 of your workers is already on that task you must place 2 instead, and with 3 already on it you can't perform it again for now. Workers in other colours don't matter here. All your workers return to the notepad and become active again at every break, and conservation 2 can activate an extra one.
