Scoring Overview

Your Link tiles and flipped Industry tiles only pay out their VP twice in the whole game — at the end of the Canal Era and at the end of the Rail Era. Each time, score 1 VP for each Link icon in the two locations each of your Link tiles joins, removing each Link as it scores (Link icons are mainly on flipped Industry tiles and beside Merchant locations), then score the VP printed on every flipped Industry tile you have. VP can still move during a round from other sources, like a Merchant bonus or an income shortfall, but not from Links or tiles.
