How Venus changes play
Concordia Venus
- Setup: on Hellas, leave out the D city tokens.
- Setup: individual play: use the column-marked cards; each player takes 8 starting cards.
- Setup: team play (4 or 6, partners opposite): use the double-circle cards; each player takes 7 starting cards and boxes one (first partner the Diplomat, second the Architect). Each team's partners get 5, 6 or 7 sestertii by team order; the start player takes the orange marker.
- Setup: in team play the second partner starts their two colonists in a city not next to the capital (a land-only or sea-only city takes two of that kind). On Gallia they place only the land colonist; the sea colonist waits in the Mediterranean.
