Roles

There are 7 roles. Shuffle the Role cards and deal 1 face-up to each player at setup — every player gets exactly one, and any roles not dealt out sit out of the game entirely, abilities and all.

With On the Brink: On the Brink adds 6 roles to the pool: Archivist, Containment Specialist, Epidemiologist, Field Operative, Generalist and Troubleshooter.

With In the Lab: In the Lab adds the Field Director, Pilot, Local Liaison and Virologist, plus lab versions of the Researcher and Epidemiologist.

With State of Emergency: State of Emergency adds the Colonel, Gene Splicer, First Responder and Pharmacist; the Veterinarian is used only with Hinterlands.
