Epidemic Cards

An Epidemic card triggers 3 steps in order: Increase (move the Infection Rate marker forward 1 space), Infect (draw the bottom card of the Infection Deck and place 3 cubes of its colour on that city, unless that colour is eradicated; if the city already has cubes of that colour, add just enough to bring it to 3 and then an outbreak occurs), and Intensify (shuffle the entire Infection Discard Pile and place it back on top of the Infection Deck).

With On the Brink: With Virulent Strain, Virulent Strain Epidemic cards add a strain effect to the normal Epidemic steps.

With State of Emergency: An Emergency Event drawn together with an Epidemic is resolved first.
