Using a Merchant's Beer Bonus

A Merchant's beer barrel can only be spent as part of a Sell action, never for a second rail Link. Spending it also gives the bonus beside that Merchant's location: Gloucester lets you remove 1 lowest-level tile of any industry from your mat with no iron (not a lightbulb Pottery), Oxford moves your Income Marker 2 spaces, Warrington gives £5, and Nottingham and Shrewsbury give the VP shown. That barrel is gone until the Canal Era's end-of-era cleanup refills every empty Merchant beer space.
