Brazil / Spain & Portugal
These maps are played with Power Grid (Recharged or the original). Everything else is unchanged.
- Setup: Brazil resource market: coal on spaces 1–8, oil 3–8, biogas 6–8, uranium 14–16. Use the Brazil refill card. On the Brazil map garbage plants are biogas plants and garbage tokens are biogas tanks.
- Setup: Brazil plants: always use all biogas plants. Put plants 6 and 14 in the market, then add 6 plug-back plants. When building the stack, set all remaining biogas plants aside, remove plants for the player count, then shuffle the biogas plants back in.
- Setup: Spain and Portugal: set plants 18, 22 and 27 aside face up. Resource market: coal on spaces 1–8, oil 3–8, garbage 6–8, uranium 5–16. Use that map's refill card.
- Spain and Portugal uranium: no uranium is added at resupply in Step 1.
- Spain and Portugal Step 2: at the start of Step 2 put plants 27, 22 and 18 on top of the plant stack, 18 on top, so 18 replaces the plant removed at the start of Step 2.
- Portugal: a player whose network is only in Portugal cannot buy nuclear plants or offer them for auction.
