Venus Next is an expansion for Terraforming Mars.

How Venus Next changes play

Venus adds a fourth track, floaters and a Solar Phase after Production. Venus gives TR but isn't an end condition in multiplayer.

Setup: shuffle the new cards and corporations into their decks before dealing. Put the Venus board beside the main board with the marker on 0%. Put the Hoverlord tile over the Milestones headline and the Venuphile tile over the Awards headline.
Solar Phase: if temperature, oxygen and oceans are all maxed, the game ends. Otherwise the first player, as the World Government, raises one parameter a step, with no TR.

New rules: the Venus track, Air Scrapping, floaters, and Hoverlord and Venuphile. In solo you must max Venus too.

Generation Structure After Production comes the Solar Phase: check for game end, then the World Government terraforms.
Resources Floaters are another resource kept on cards.
Global Parameters Venus is a fourth track from 0% to 30% that gives TR but does not end the game.
Tags The Venus tag is added.
Standard Projects Air Scrapping: 15 M€, raise Venus one step.
Milestones & Awards Hoverlord and Venuphile bring the totals to 6 Milestones and 6 Awards, still with 3 of each allowed.
End of Game Venus does not have to be maxed to end a multiplayer game; in solo you must max it too.
Solo Game With Venus Next your goal is to max all four parameters, Venus included.

The Venus Scale The Venus scale runs from 0% to 30% in 15 steps of 2%, with the marker starting at 0%.
Venus Is Not an End Condition The Venus scale is not an end game condition: the game ends once temperature, oxygen and oceans are maxed, whether or not Venus is.
Air Scrapping Air Scrapping is a Standard Project that raises the Venus scale one step for 15 M€, and you gain TR as normal.
Floaters Floaters are a resource kept on cards, and they work in the same way as microbes and animals.
Venus Tag and Venus Cards The Venus tag symbolizes that the project is located on Venus or in its orbit. A card with a Venus tag is called a Venus card.
Venus City Spaces Venus Next adds four named city locations, placed with project cards.
Hoverlord and Venuphile The Hoverlord Milestone needs at least 7 floater resources on your cards.
Venus Fine Points Effects that change global requirements, such as Adaptation Technology, Special Design and Inventrix, also apply to Venus requirements.
Six Milestones and Awards With Venus Hoverlord and Venuphile work in addition to the existing Milestones and Awards, so 3 of the 6 Milestones may be claimed and 3 of the 6…
Solar Phase The Solar Phase follows Production each generation.
World Government Terraforming In Solar Phase step 2 the first player, before the first-player marker shifts, acts as the World Government.
