How Automa changes play
Automa: playing against MarsBot
A solo game played as a 2-player game against MarsBot, instead of the normal solo rules.
- Setup: set up a 2-player game (Corporate Era allowed). Put the MarsBot board for your map in the holder, its reference card (which holds MarsBot's M€) and the final scoring card beside it, and a clear cube on 0 of each track.
- Setup: pick MarsBot's colour: one marker on 20 TR, the rest beside its board. Shuffle bonus cards B01–B08 face down as its bonus deck and box the other bonus cards.
- Setup: MarsBot gets no corporation card. Deal it 3 project cards face down (no 10-card hand), shuffle in 1 bonus card as its action deck, set aside the Neural Instance tile, and box the other MarsBot pieces. You go first.
- Setup: with a MarsBot corporation or other expansions, add their MarsBot changes (see MarsBot Corporations and the MarsBot expansion cards).
- MarsBot's turn: flip and resolve its next action deck card; it passes when the deck is empty.
- Winning: beat MarsBot's score; you lose if the game reaches generation 20.
